Chess Victoria is pleased to invite all affiliated clubs to compete in the Victorian Inter-Club Rapid Championship 2026, Victoria's premier team rapid chess event. Gather your strongest players, represent your club, and compete for the title of Victorian Inter-Club Champion.

�� Date: Sunday, 22 November 2026
�� Venue: Melbourne Chess Club, Fitzroy
♟️ Format: 9-Round Team Round Robin or Swiss (subject to entries)
⏱️ Time Control: 13 minutes + 2 seconds increment
�� Rated: ACF Quick & FIDE Rapid
��*⚖️ Chief Arbiter: IA Dr Peter Tsai

Team Composition

  • 4 players + up to 1 reserve

  • Players listed in ACF Quick rating order

  • Each team must nominate at least one female player

  • Clubs may enter up to two teams

  • A second team must be either:

  1. an Under 18 Junior Team, or

  2. an All-Female Team.



Prizes

  • �� Victorian Inter-Club Champion – $500 + Medals

  • �� Victorian Junior Inter-Club Champion (if conducted) – $500 + Medals

  • �� Individual Board Prizes and Female/Junior Girl Awards also available.
