Established in 1866, the MCC is Victoria’s biggest chess club. We strive to provide the best experience for chess players at all levels and all age groups.
The tabs above provide all the information you need. We're located just off the popular Brunswick St in Fitzroy and open most days of the year.

Newcomers to the club will want to check out the novice-friendly Saturday afternoon Allegro, as well as the 2013 tournament calendar. There is something for everyone at the MCC, with Saturday morning junior coaching, free advanced lectures for members, slow and quick-play tournaments, novice night Wednesdays, Endgame Group Tuesdays and a chess book-store and social chess every day of the year! There's no chess club like it.
