Free Entry for FIDE Masters (MCC Members)

3The MCC are happy to announce that as of the 1st of January 2013, FIDE Masters who are members of the MCC will receive free entry to all Melbourne Chess Club events. We based the decision on:
  • A recognition of service and commitment to chess.
  • An acknowledgement of the attraction that strong players bring to the Melbourne Chess Club.
  • An all round increase in quality in the club's events. 
  • A desire to grow elite events like Cup Weekender.
We feel it adds to our tournaments and the club in general. 
Our membership prices remain the same and remember, a life membership costs $2500: so if you think you'll be coming to the MCC for at least the next 14 years: sign up! I know I will be!
