Round 1:  2:00pm, Round 2:  6:00pm

25^th Jan Round 3:  11:00am, Round 4:  3:00pm, Round 5:  7:00pm

Entry Fee:  $55 full, $45 concession, $25 u/18, less $10 MCC Members.

February:       Melbourne Chess Club Championship, A FIDE rated event

9 round Swiss

Monday 2^nd February to Monday 6^th April; no play 9^th March

Time Control:  90 minutes + 30 seconds \ move

All rounds at 7:00 pm, entries close on Monday 2^nd February at 6:00 pm

Entry Fee:  $65 Working, $55 concession, all players must be Club Members.

Time Control:  60 minutes + 30 seconds \ move

Saturday 25th April:  Entries close:  10:00 am;

25th April, Round 1:  11:00am, Round 2:  3:00pm, Round 3:  7:00pm

27th April, Round 4:  11:00am, Round 5:  3:00pm, prize giving after Round 5

August:     Melbourne Chess Club Open:

Mondays at 7:00 pm from 31st August to the 26th October

Entries close:  6:00 pm 31st August

Time control:  90 minutes + 30 seconds \ move

Entry Fee:  $65 full, $55 concession, less $10 MCC Members.

 

September:     MCC Transfer Tournament:

Sunday September 20th, 1pm to 6pm

11 rounds of transfer chess.

Entries close: 12.30pm Sunday 20th September

Time control: 10 minutes per game.

Entry Fee: $30 per team, $20 if at least one member of team is an MCC member.

 

October/November: Cup Weekend Tournament:

9 round Swiss, FIDE rated

Friday October 30th to Tuesday 3rd November

Entries close at 6pm Friday 30th October

Time Control: 90 min + 30 seconds per move.

Entry Fee: $85 adults, $70 juniors (under 18), GM, IM, WGM, WIM free entry

 

November:     Fitzroy Open 8 player round robin events:
